Schrems West Michigan Trout Unlimited

Tight Lines Digital recently released a fresh new website design for swmtu.org, the digital home of Schrems West Michigan Trout Unlimited. The site is a bold new look for a non-profit group like SWMTU, featuring a modern, mobile-first experience.

Though the site has existed in various forms for close to twenty years, this complete redesign borrowed content from the past while putting focus on the group’s key areas of activity. By reorganizing the essentials — conservation, education, and membership events — the  true purpose of the organization can shine. This helps the organization better communicate with chapter members, its stewardship partners, and the interested public.

Special features include an updated event calendar, a robust donation center, and efficient event ticketing. These features allow the organization to handle a wide variety of membership events plus help support its non-profit status.

A new Board Members page was created to feature those volunteers who are helping guide the chapter. That page and many others were completely revised to give a better picture of the rich history of the chapter.

Additional effort was put into creating a totally new email format that looks fantastic on mobile devices. Plus, significant effort was put into increasing the effectiveness of the site’s SEO.
